Patrons got an exciting surprise at New York's famed McFadden's Saloon on 42nd Street Wednesday night, when celebrities in town dropped in! Singer/television star Nick Lachey and former flame, TV host Vanessa Minnillo dined at the local hotspot on Wednesday night, after Nick's shark diving excursion. The pair was described as very laid back and friendly with staff and patrons of the popular bar & restaurant. It's unclear if the on-and-off pair were on a romantic or platonic date as they casually drank beers and had dinner. They left around 9pm, despite their invitations to stay for the notoriously vivacious McFadden's nightlife. "You just never know what's going to happen here or which celebrities may come in- it's so exciting!" said one enthusiastic party-goer.

05.08.08 - Fundraiser in May 2008

Hi Kate,

Thank you so much for all of your help. The fundraiser was a huge
success. I have reached my goal and all of my guests had a blast! The
gift certificate played a big role in marketing the raffle tickets. The
tables looked amazing, the food was awesome and your team did a great

05.02.08 - Brain Tumor Society Fundraiser

Kate,

Thank you SO much for everything you did to help us make our event a success
last night! I can't say enough how amazing you have been throughout this
entire planning process, right through to last night when I saw you personally
bringing out a platter of food! Everything was perfect, and you made what
could have been a stressful experience (especially given the gas fiasco) so
easy for all of us. Thank you!

We also want to thank your fantastic staff, who were not only friendly, but
incredibly generous. Our bartender, TJ, was great! He was so engaging, talking
to everyone at the bar, and SO generous. At the end of the night he donated
money from his own tips to our collection for the Brain Tumor Society. Also,
the bartenders upstairs (I don't know what their names were) made a donation
of $100. It was amazing.

We all had so much fun, and from the feedback we got, so did our guests. Thank
you.

03.15.08 - Bachelor Party 2008

Kate and Dan,

Just wanted to say thank you so much for taking care of the arrangements
for the Bachelor party I threw for my Brother last Saturday. I know St.
Patrick's day weekend is a crazy weekend for you and it all went off without
a hitch for us. Chris (at the door) was outstanding and took great care of
getting our party in, and Shannon and Nicole made sure our cups stayed
filled and made the evening an absolute blast! I know how hectic/stressful a
weekend like that can be and we were all very impressed with how friendly
and hospitable your whole staff was. Even the DJ ensured that my brother was
sufficiently embarrassed throughout the evening as we requested of him.

Most Gaelic-themed haunts share the same traits: a dark interior, flowing Guinness, and weathered regulars. McFadden’s has the first two, but mercifully replaces aging drunkards with attractive young singles, solid food (shepherd’s pie, fish and chips), and a raucous afterwork crowd.

Hi Kate,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your warm welcome into McFadden's on Saturday. The girls had a blast and though we had a whole bar crawl worked out, we had so much fun that we never moved on!

Everyone, the bride-to-be in particular, were treated like VIP's and they loved it.
Jeff upstairs and Amanda downstairs took great care of us and were accommodating and generous with us. I'm very happy to suggest McFadden's again for other celebrations.
